Overview

Arizona Sonoran Copper Company’s Cactus Mine and Parks/Salyer Properties are located at the convergence of three major porphyry copper trends in Arizona’s copper mining district. The Properties are 100%-owned and are on private land in Pinal County, the heart of Arizona’s copper mining country and a Tier 1 jurisdiction.

The property benefits from significant ready infrastructure including electric power available through a transmission line connected to an existing substation at the mine site, water and proximity to a rail line for future concentrate transport, if required. The cities of Casa Grande and Maricopa are nearby and, combined with Phoenix, can supply sufficient skilled labor for the Cactus Project. The Greater Phoenix area is a major population center (approximately 5.0 million persons).

ASCU issued a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) for the redevelopment of the Stockpile Project and Cactus deposit in October 2021. The redevelopment plan is underpinned by a multi-billion-pound mineral resource base and there is further opportunity to scale the mineral resource inventory through in-pit and near-pit organic expansion opportunities. The report contemplates simple,  heap leach and SXEW processing and a project with robust resulting economics. Cactus is expected to produce over 1 billion pounds of LME Grade A copper cathode, over an 18 year mine life.
